ARKAT has a variety of feed types available in a variety of sizes. Feeds are available for catfish, shrimp, tilapia, baitfish, tropical fish. Other applications for some of the same feed are koi, carp fresh water prawns, pond trout, perch, bream, crappie etc. For a complete list of available feed, click here.
All of ARKAT's products are extruded. Extrusion is the process that starts with a thoroughly mixed and finely ground combination of cereal grains and rich protein sources. This mix is subjected to a combination of heat, shear, and moisture while under pressure resulting in the denaturation of the protein, gelatinization of the starch and the exothermic expansion of the material to achieve a highly digestible and pasteurized pellet. This process allows us to control the density (pounds per cubic foot) and shape of the finished product so that it will perform the desired function.
